Monitored and controlled by electronic gauging to yield close length and load tolerance
Technical Information
Compression Springs support additional load as compressed. For each unit of deflection, proportionally more load is developed. The solid height is the length of the spring when fully compressed. Sufficient clearance should be allowed between the actual length at which the spring functions and the solid height. Allowing a spring to cycle too close to solid height creates unwanted stress which reduces spring life significantly.
