Different Types Of Cleaning For Different Types of Floors
There are many different types of flooring and they all require care when it comes to cleaning. Not all floors can be cleaned with the same types of cleaning equipment and it is important to use the proper one to make the floor last and maintain it's original beauty. Some flooring requires a vacuum, while others require a mop, or steamer.
All floor surfaces can be vacuumed to remove surface dirt and debris. While this is a good initial step that removes much of the dirt particles many flooring surfaces require deeper cleaning to get all of the dirt and grime off of the floor. Steam cleaners are often necessary to get all of the deeper dirt out of a carpet. Because carpets usually only need to be cleaned about twice a year a professional can be hired that already has the necessary equipment. Steamers can also be used on linoleum and tile floors but they are a bit different than the steamers used for carpets. These steamers can be purchased and used in the home on a regular basis. Wood flooring can be cared for with a swiffer or other soft cloth mop and a wood floor cleaning solution.
